Singapore holds AAA sovereign ratings from all three major rating agencies and provides tax-efficient treatment for investment-grade gold, including GST exemption and no capital gains tax. Gold is held in a Golden Ark Reserve sub-account at Brink’s Singapore, individually allocated by serial number and fully insured at current market value.

Hong Kong Vault

One of Asia’s most established jurisdictions for physical gold ownership and storage, offering a free-port environment, a common-law legal system and highly favourable tax treatment for investment gold. There is no purchase tax, capital gains tax or customs tax on investment gold. What Allocated Placement Means for Your Holding

Allocated placement in a dedicated sub-account keeps your gold separate at every level — from Golden Ark Reserve’s own stock, from other counterparties, and from the vault operator’s balance sheet.

Specific bars, not a claim

Your holding is specific bars, identified by serial number, weight, fineness and refiner. Not a share of a pool, and not a quantity owed to you on paper.

A sub-account of your own

The bars sit in a sub-account opened for your holding at Brink’s — kept apart from Golden Ark Reserve’s trading stock and from every other counterparty’s metal.

Off the operator’s books

Metal in the account is not an asset of the vault operator and forms no part of its inventory. The bars are not used and not pledged.

Evidence that stands up to audit

Contract and invoice on the actual bars, an allocation record listing every serial number, and the placement confirmation from the vault.

How Placement Works

A written instruction sets the quantity, the date and the bar list.
Delivery to the vault

Brink’s takes possession, issues a receipt, and the bars enter the account.
Allocation

The bars are recorded to your sub-account and tied to you, bar by bar.
Documentation

You receive the vault receipt, the allocation record and the placement confirmation.

Liability, Insurance and Compliance

Liability

Brink’s carries liability for loss or damage while the metal is in the vault. It begins when the vault takes possession and ends on release against receipt. Loss is settled at the LBMA spot price on the valuation date. Transport runs under a separate arrangement.

Insurance

Brink’s insures the risks it assumes in storage; a certificate is available on request.

Fees

Storage is invoiced separately and is never taken out of funds held against a purchase. Unpaid storage is a receivable — allocated bars are not sold to settle it.

Compliance

AML, KYC and sanctions screening apply before onboarding and before execution. Account, shipment and transaction records are confidential unless disclosure is required by law or requested in writing.

Release and Onward Delivery

Metal leaves the vault only on written instruction, verified before anything moves.

Instruction

Two Business Days’ notice, with the bar list and the carrier or representative taking delivery.
Verification

Checked against the registered list of authorized persons before anything leaves the vault.
Handover

Metal released against written receipt. Onward transport runs under a separate arrangement, worldwide.
Records updated

You receive the release confirmation and the updated allocation record.

Frequently asked questions

What does “allocated” actually mean?

That you own particular bars, not a quantity of gold in general. Each one is identified by serial number, weight, fineness and refiner, held in a sub-account opened for your holding, and kept physically apart from bullion belonging to anyone else. Whole bars only — nothing is split or pooled.

Are the bars registered in my name at the vault?

The vault account is held by Golden Ark Reserve, with your holding in a sub-account of its own inside it. What defines your position is what the bars are: specific, serial-numbered, kept apart from Golden Ark Reserve’s own stock and from other counterparties’ metal, not used and not pledged — and evidenced by your contract, the allocation record and the placement confirmation.

Can I have the holding inspected or audited?

Yes. An inspection by your internal or external auditor is arranged through Golden Ark Reserve on prior written notice. Bar checking against the recorded serial numbers and a holding certificate from the vault are also available on request.

What happens if the storage arrangement ends?

Either side can end it on written notice, and the metal is moved to an alternative vault or delivered onward. Your title is unaffected — the same bars, under the same serial numbers.
