LBMA has added the gold refinery of Shenzhen Zhonghenglong Industrial Co Ltd to its Good Delivery List for gold with effect from 17 August 2026. The company satisfied LBMA on ownership, history, production capability and financial standing, and passed a testing procedure in which its gold bars were examined and assayed by independent referees and its own assaying capability was tested. The gold list now carries 67 refiners and the silver list 86. Shenzhen Zhonghenglong was founded in March 1997, recovers, purifies and refines gold, silver, platinum and palladium, and in 2007 became the first private enterprise approved as a Good Delivery gold refinery by Shanghai Gold Exchange.
The procedure tested the refinery. Independent referees assayed its bars once, at accreditation, and the in-house assaying capability examined in that procedure is what stands behind every bar produced under the mark from 17 August 2026. A London Good Delivery gold bar carries a minimum fineness of 995.0 and a weight between 350 and 430 troy ounces; the figures that govern an individual bar are the ones stamped on it and written on its weight-list line. Verification on receipt of a bar bearing a mark listed in August 2026 therefore runs through the refiner’s own certificate, the stamped fineness and a weighing against that line, and assay of the bar itself requires sampling it. LBMA’s continuing checks on listed refineries run through its Proactive Monitoring programme and its Proficiency Testing Scheme. The feedstock the announcement records — domestic jewellery manufacturing, domestic gold traders, smelting products of domestic mining companies and gold recovered from individuals in China — is a due-diligence question, and it is answered by the Responsible Sourcing Programme audit that every listed refiner undergoes annually and by LBMA’s country-of-origin reporting. Shanghai Gold Exchange maintains its own Good Delivery list for delivery against its contracts, and the 2007 approval is on that list.
The listing covers one company’s gold refinery from 17 August 2026. Acceptability criteria, the testing procedure and the composition of the List are set by LBMA, which owns and maintains it.
